Okayama is a smaller city located halfway between Osaka and Hiroshima - but it's more than just another stop on the Shinkansen. The city is a perfect jumping-off point for some incredible destinations around the Japanese inland sea like Naoshima and Shodoshima, plus Okayama has a rich cultural history and some wonderful sights of its own, such as the Kōraku-en gardens and the spectacular Okayama Castle.
