About Nanika

We're a couple from the UK who have both travelled and lived in Japan.

We love Japan - the people, the culture, the food and the incredible sights and scenery of this varied and thrilling country.

Whenever a friend or relative was thinking of going to Japan, they'd ask us: "Where should we go in Japan" or "What should I do while I'm in Tokyo" etc etc. We'd always be more than happy to dish out advice, and that's where this blog started.

We've compiled our top tips for travelling in Japan, and written about our favourite places and things to do in Japan - like hotels, izakayas (pubs), Japanese cultural sights, nature and hiking, transport and more.

We even spent our honeymoon in Japan, and have written about some of our experiences on that amazing trip. Hopefully it might be useful for other honeymooners travelling to Japan to help choose your itinerary for your once-in-a-lifetime holiday.

Na-ni-ka roughly translates as 'Something' - a suitably vague name for a blog about anything Japanese.
